Week 28:

This blessing took place the week of April 6 th – 12 th . I want to first thank my family and friends for going above and beyond in making my birthday amazing this year. It was very humbling to be the recipient of such love. Thank you! I'd like to share with you one of my favorite gifts I received this year. However, first I need to give you the back story. For those of you who don't know, I've had the same best friend since 1 st grade. Alex and I have been through everything together. First loves, heartbreaks, Hey Arnold, and the entire 10 seasons of Friends. We stood beside each other at our weddings. She held my hand at my mother's funeral and I wrote the eulogy at her daughter's. Most of you reading this blog know Alex found out early on her daughter, Noel, wouldn't live outside her womb. Week 27:

Today is April 2, 2014 which means it is Autism Awareness Day.     If you've followed my blog for a while you know autism is something I'm passionate about, I have a brother and a cousin who both are autistic. They are two of the best people I've ever known. Aaron, my cousin, can tell you everything you need to know about football, all the players names, mascots, and whose going to win the game. Matthew, my brother, is non-verbal but if he could speak he would be on my Disney trivia team. He loves to watch moves and I bet if he could talk he would be able to answer every question correct. Both of these boys have taught me so much about life and love. They really do live each day as a new day, a clean slate. They don't hold onto the past, they don't stress about the future, they live in the moment. Since today is their day I wanted to honor that by doing a few small things to help raise awareness.     I bought some adhesive nail designs to wear ...
